Congratulations to Katie who played for England U16 Hockey v Germany in Baden Baden.

Playing in swealtering 38°C the three matches were real battles. The first game saw Germany steal a late 2.2 draw with penalty corner goal in overtime. The second match was much like the first game where England were dominant taking the lead but Germany seemed to have the luck and umpires on their side running out 2.1 winners.

The final game of the series was a much closer affair and Germany took the lead late in second quarter but Katie and the rest of the England girls dug deep and put in a resilient performance to get the draw midway through the final quarter pushing for the victory in the final moments.

Katie will join up again with her England U16 team mates to take on Belgium this coming weekend in Nievelle for another 3 game series.

We wish her the best of luck again!
