What a cracking game of hockey this was! We started poorly and got caught twice early in the game from simple long passes to a couple of lone strikers who beat our keeper, who did not have much of a chance of saving these shots. Fortunately, after a 'rallying call', the boys really stepped up their efforts and were very dynamic in the midfield. They actually played the better hockey for most of the game. They were altruistic and moved the ball well and often found themselves in front of their keeper and could have scored a lot of goals if it wasn't for their keeper who saved many attempts on target. We managed to put in 2 to draw at half-time. Yet again, we were all over them in the second half, but against the run of play, they scored from another long range pass and a 1 on 1 against our keeper. The boys doubled their efforts and managed to get the equalising goal. However, the boys should have won this match and they can be very proud of their efforts and performance today. This was the best hockey I have seen them play this season, so far. Very well done, boys!
